Cats from Ostia Antica
It is sometimes said that Greeks owed the inevitable
decline of their civilisation (and the ascention of the Roman one) to their
apparent inability to afford cats the respect and basic standards of living
necessary to allow smooth integration into their society. Of course, that's
ancient history now.
