Residenz
This palace was seriously wrecked during the war #2.0 but they've spent the last 40 odd years fixing
it and now the whole place looks great. You get the best of both worlds - an extensive museum and considerable palace. The
most noteworthy thing about the place are the floors. The wooden floors on the levels above are extremely nice and must
have taken ages to do. There was also a lot of royal type jewellery? I didn't know about Germans having royalty, so the
might have been killed off at some point. I wonder why I haven't heard about it. If you can tell the quality of the
monarchy by the size of its treasure chest, this one should have been able to kick up a real fuss about abdicating its
head.
It was quite a while before I saw another tourist in the place. We were easily outnumbered by the
guards, who tailed me around (probably thinking I was going to whip something) until I took off my hat at which point I
stopped looking like a theif.
