The queues to get in are usually quite long. One finds ignorant tourists queuing up outside the pyramid, only to have to queue again for tickets inside. It is usually faster to use the entrance into the underground shopping arcade to the north of the Museum.
The first time I tried to visit, the staff were on strike!
