Museé d'Orsay

The Museé d'Orsay is just south of the seine. It used to be a train station, and is quite interesting in itself. There are some nice views of the Louvre from the roof.

The thing to remember here is that it is shut on a monday. However, the museé Rodin and the Louvre are not far away

If there are queues (don't say "queue" to a french person by the way) you can spend your time pondering the large genetalia of the sculptures outside the museum.
