Made by aliens for all I know. There is no point wondering what the heights of the posts represent, or what the red and green cats eyes are for. For all I know, they might have been made purely for the artist's pleasure of knowing the confusion he sowed, and that's from an expert on French sculpture / architecture.

Personally, I got very stressed because the posts were too far apart to walk from one to another.
